Extending Conceptual Graphs for Representing Partial Knowledge

Conceptual Graphs (CGs) are a visual, logic based knowledge representation (KR) formalism. In this paper we show how Conceptual Graph Assemblies (CGAs), a combinatorial extension to Conceptual Graphs, can represent multiple perspectives on the same information and enable the creation and use of modular and reusable CG representations. The natural way of introduction disjunction in the logical semantics of CGAs, as well the great variety of assembling ways offered by the underlying combinatorial structure, increases the visual capabilities of CGs in order to communicate things in a dynamic, often inconsistent, world.
